This is my first time posting a portion of my WIP on a blog. This will help me decide if I should continue writing! Thanks in advance for comments!

    Morning After
I opened my eyes. Where am I? The fog was lifting slowly. I stretched and yawned. I remember, I asked to stay at Eric’s after a meltdown. Both Josh and Eric must think I am loony. I really never had a girlfriend to talk to about my marriage. I just thought it is what it is. This is going to be awkward, but I better get over it.
Rising I put the pajama top on and went into the bathroom. Brushing my teeth and splashing water on my face will prepare me for facing Eric. I married so young I never had a “morning after” event that I’I’ve heard women discuss. I’m not sure what to expect.
Opening the door gradually, I heard silence. Hopefully, he isn’t’t up yet and I can sneak into the kitchen for a cup of coffee. I tiptoed downstairs and into the kitchen. Eric is sipping a cup of coffee and is staring out the window. I put on my perky face and said, “Good morning Eric!”
“Good morn”. Eric stopped mid sentence and just stared at me as though seeing me for the first time. “Good morning! I must say my pajama top never looked so good!”
Feeling the heat rise in my face I turned away. I didn’t want him to even begin to read my thought. I’ve never seen such attractive pajama bottoms before.
    “Coffee?” He asked.
    “Yes, please. Just black.”
I took the first chair I reached. Maybe if I sat down I wouldn’t feel so uncomfortable like I’m sitting here naked in front of him. What is wrong with my thoughts this morning? I’m feeling embarrassed thinking of being naked in front of him and yet I would love to run my hands along his bare, broad shoulders. Let my hands roam around him to the front of his chest. Wow is it hot in this kitchen!
Eric sat the cup of coffee in front of me as he took the opposite chair. My eyes were automatically drawn to his chest. His knee bumped against my leg and I felt an electric current zap through me.

I’m his life transition coach. I have to put a stop to these thoughts and feelings. Hell, it would be easier to stop coaching him and jump his bones then to try to stomp of my feelings. After all I’m a sixty-two year old widowed woman. I’m not dead yet!
