Two siblings walked into the front door of a large house in a semi-neglected subdivision.
“School sucks”, Came from the younger of the two.
“Shut up”, was the reply.
“My teachers are the worst”, the younger of the two, Ann, continued.
“I said shut up, gosh your annoying”
The older sibling, Graham, slung his book bag onto the floor of the living room. Ann walked slowly to her room, and dropped her things in the middle of the pink room.
“Lets go do something fun”, Graham shouted.
“Okay like what?” Ann replied from two rooms over.
“I don’t know, Just come on.”, Graham said as he rushed outside.
Anne followed but stopped in her tracks when she heard the front door open. A little red haired boy walked in and tossed his bag next to Grahams.
The little boy walked into the kitchen and saw Ann headed to the back door. He walked over to Ann and followed her and graham outside.
“Lets go to the park”, Graham said to the two younger children, as he picked up a worn bicycle from the ground.
“It’s too cold though”, the red haired boy complained.
“So who cares? Go grab a jacket dummy”, Ann said to the red haired boy.
“Whatever” The little red head grumbled as he rushed inside to put on appropriate clothing.
“Hurry lets go before ralph gets back”, Graham said in a hushed tone to his little sister.
“You such a butt to him gosh”, Ann said as she hopped on another bike following her older brother who had already started leaving for the park.
“Wait up you jerks!”, Ralph screamed as he rushed out the door and picked up the last of the working bikes siting on the ground.
After pedaling three roads down the children parked their bikes on a rusty old bike rack and rushed inside the gates of the abounded park.
“Graham come push us!” Ann screamed as she and Ralph sat on a tire swing together waiting for Graham to come over and push them into the brisk air.
“UGh you guys are to fat” Graham said as he pushed them into the air with a grunt and a struggle.
“Shut up I am NOT fat”, Ann said as she swung into the air with delight.
Graham suddenly jumped onto the tire swing sending it into a spiral, making them all laugh and giggle until their heads were spinning as much as the world around them.
“Haaa Make it stooop!”, Ralph exclaimed. He always had a weak stomach and couldn’t take anymore turns.
Graham jumped off the swing and grabbed the chain that held it. With a slight jerk he slowed it down enough for both of the children t get off with ease.
“Race you to the merry -go- round!”, Ralph said to the other children as he started running to the merry-go-round on the other side of the park.
Graham followed but Ann went the other way and sat on the lower end of a see-saw. “You guys NO come over here its funner”, Ann screamed.
Graham rushed over there and sat on the upper end of the see-saw and sent ann flying up in the air causing her to briefly be suspended in air, off of the see-saw. Once she landed graham didn’t push off the ground again. Instead he sat there leaving Ann to be n the upper end of the see-saw, unable to touch the ground. “Come help me Ralph!”, She screamed.
Ralph came over to where they were and started climbing the see-saw towards Ann, attempting to weigh Ann’s side down. Graham suddenly jumped off the see-saw sending them both crashing to the ground with a thud.
“You butthole”, they screamed.
” Lets go home now, before Natalie and joseph gets home”, Graham said.
They all started towards the exit of the park. Just as they walked through the gates some elderly ladies walked in with little dogs who barked at the children intensely. The three ignored the little dogs and hopped onto their bikes and rode home. Once there they all put their bicycles away and cautiously entered the house. “Who’s that?” a Male voiced called out as the door open.
“It’s just us you idiot”, Ann called back.
“I thought it was mom”, The male voiced replied.
“Since when does mom use the back door”, Graham yelled.
A scrawny teenager appeared in the doorway that lead to the back door. “Shut up. Go do your homework you have chores.”, He said.
“Your not our boss”, Ralph said.
“I am until mom gets here so shut up dummy”, was the reply.
“I’m calling mom”, Ann cried out.
“If you do we all get in trouble idiot”, Graham fussed at her.
The front door suddenly opened, but didn’t cease the bickering. A teenage girl walked in. A skinny short blonde girl with a book bag weighing more than herself. She didn’t even stop in the kitchen to see what all the fuss was about, instead she went away into her own room and started her homework.
“was that mom?” Ralph cried out as the others continued their pointless arguing.
“No idiot mom doesn’t go upstairs, it was Natalie”, Graham said in a know-it-all tone.
“Don’t call me an idiot”, Ralph exclaimed as he began throwing little punches at his much bigger brother.
But before Graham could retaliate the scrawny teenage boy stepped in, pulling little ralph away from Graham. “You guys, KNOCK IT OFF!”, He yelled in a loud voice that surely even the neighbors could hear.
Ann walked away and went to her room, passing ralph on the way there. Graham went outside and stepped into their fathers work shop. Ralph sat on the couch watching cartoons. The scrawny boy watched with him. “Give me the remote joseph!” Ralph cried in a whiny voice.
“No I was here watching this first go watch something somewhere else” The scrawny boy replied.
Trying to avoid anymore arguments ralph just went outside and played in the sandbox. about an hour later the front door opened yet again. a petit woman with red hair stepped in with two bags. She stopped and looked around the room collecting her thoughts as she did so. She set her car keys onto the organ that sat by the window. “Look at all this mess. Not a single one of them did their chores. I worked all day and come home to this.” she thought to herself. She became angry for a minute but decided she was much to exhausted to even think about trying to hear all of their excuses. They were just kids. As she stepped in to the kitchen she set her bags onto the kitchen table. “Where is everyone at?”, she asked Joseph who was still sitting on the couch.
“Natalie and Ann are in their rooms. Ralphs outside playing and Graham is in dads shop.” he replied without even getting up.
Hearing her mothers voice Ann walked out of her room and into the kitchen. “DO you work tomorrow?”, Ann asked her mother.
“Yes I work tomorrow and Friday, now go finish your homework”, Her mother replied
Ann left to do her schoolwork and her mother started doing paperwork.
An hour later the kitchen table was cleared of all papers and messes and in place of the mess were plates and silverware.”TIME TO EAT”, a voice cried out throughout the entire house.
Just as everyone began piling food onto their plates a man walked through the front door and stepped into a room beside the front door. “Come eat”, a voice cried out to the man who was behind the closed door.
“HOLD ON”, he replied in a louder deeper tone.
Soon everyone was sitting down at the kitchen table. Everyone was quiet except for the kids’ parents. “SO how was your day”?
