Lesson 6 – Motivations, Thoughts, and Feelings

Victor was the last person in the office. But before he could leave the building, he had to drop off the thermometers in his boss’ office. Entering the room and placing the thermometers on the desk, Victor scrutinized the office. The computer was on standby, the lamp looked of high quality and its lighting was a very low setting that the atmosphere of the room was something out of noir film, and the big shelf of books on human resources and managerial positions was big enough that Victor wondered if there was a stash of bills behind it. He was watching too many crime films. If I had this job, Victor thought, I can afford my long overdue vacation. He sat down on the rotating chair and spanned 3 times. Then he stopped and perused the documents. A spreadsheet with numbers with varied colors caught his eyes, and interestingly, there were some major deductions that did not factor into the budget. His boss was embezzling. Victor hands trembled with fear and excitement. Maybe if he shows this to the executive director, he can reap the rewards and be offered this position. He took several pictures, locked his boss’s office, and left the building, impatient of having to wait until tomorrow.
